The Togo line of design furniture for Ligne Roset was first presented to the public in Paris in October 1973, and remains one of the iconic furniture lines of the 20th Century. Its weird bohemian vibe and sensual curves can make any room instantly more interesting and nappable (nappable can be defined as the qualities or conditions that create a good nap).

What is the best way to keep a room smelling fresh? Do you like candles, incense, sprays? Recommendations?

Don burns a lot of incense around the house. If you're not careful, your home can begin smelling like a college dorm room. Selection is key. We love all the stick incense from Kuumba International. They don't saturate your clothes or linger in your house. If you don't like incense, we also burn palo santo wood. If you're ever in Denver, check out Sacred Thistle. It's one of our favorite shops – in addition to palo santo wood, they also have some killer ceramics, plants, and these really unique candleholders that we love. If you don't like burning things... you can always pick up some room spray. Aesop makes a nice one.

On Writing

Just start writing. Do a page a day. None of it will be any good. But the practice of writing is like zen. It's a process. It helps with balance. I always seem to come back to writing when things aren't working. Or when it feels like things aren't connecting. Writing reinforces patience. It reminds me that all things are connected – that all things are exactly where they need to be in this moment – the past, present, and future... all connected. Write to synthesize it. To connect yourself to it. There are answers in writing. Not in the words, but in the act. The act of writing is it. That's the thing.

"I love road trips” is what you repeat to yourself over and over again so that remember that you love doing something that is generally uncomfortable and tedious. ‘Road trips’ can really be replaced by any event or task that is completed whilst being alive. But the beautiful thing about road trip tedium that differentiates it from the day to day tedium is that you can drink and partake in recreational (and always super legal) drugs during all of it.

Kiwi Jr. – Maid Marian's Toast
Has a sort of Vampire Weekend meets mid-90s vibe to it (think REM!). Very good. Definitely digging into this band. Sophomore album released by Sub Pop (all you really need to know!).

Jensen McRae – Immune
I first heard this song on Twitter a few weeks ago. It was originally written as a parody of Phoebe Bridgers and her super descriptive (super dark) songwriting style. Jensen McRae tweeted: “In 2023, Phoebe Bridgers is gonna drop her third album & the opening track will be about hooking up in the car while waiting in line to get vaccinated at Dodger Stadium and it’s gonna make me cry." The tweet went viral and she decided to write a full song. It definitely sounds like a Phoebe Bridgers cover.

Super talented. 21 years old. Great song and killer art direction for the album cover/music video.
