Burn Yourself Out Completely

When you do something, you should do it with your whole body and mind; you should be concentrated on what you do. You should do it completely, like a good bonfire. You should not be a smoky fire. You should burn yourself completely. If you do not burn yourself completely, a trace of yourself will be left in what you do. You will have something remaining which is not completely burned out. Zen activity is activity which is completely burned out., with nothing remaining but ashes. This is the goal of our practice.

Steph and I saw Triangle of Sadness over the weekend. Feels like an instant cult classic. Definitely worth watching.

We also recently started watching The Peripheral – feels a bit like Westworld – worth watching if you like Sci-Fi/simulation theory.

We're only 1 episode in, but already feel bored with season 2 of White Lotus.

Meta is losing more on its metaverse bet than ever, but Zuckerberg is telling investors and employees to trust him – “Look, I get that a lot of people might disagree with this investment, but from what I can tell, I think this is going to be a very important thing,” he said. “People will look back a decade from now and talk about the importance of the work being done here.”

If I took these photos on my iPhone, I’d say they looked like garbage. But taken on my digital camera, they’re giving Y2K paparazzi. They’re giving indie sleaze.
